Inventor Inspiration
"I wanted to create an improved vehicle visor that would filter sunlight and provide full forward visibility for the driver, so I invented the ClearView sun visor. My design would also help prevent eyestrain and visibility-related accidents. It also can be used with other modes of transportation applications including air and watercraft, train, trucks and military vehicles."
Features
- Producible in two variations: A) A visor with the translucent, polarized version fixed to the bottom half of the visor; and B) A visor where the polarized version is retractable
- The rectangular visor would include support on top for solid attachment to the headliner, enabling it to be manually adjusted up and down as needed by the driver and also pivoted to the side window
- Unlike traditional visors that are completely opaque, this model would have a transparent lower half (50 percent) made from light-filtering sunglasses material
- The tinted plastic would be polarized
- As an alternative, the product would also be made in a model that has the clear tinted panel neatly stored within a pocket along the bottom of the upper opaque half
